By drinking this Essence, which has a strong tangy flavor, you are granted the following boons.

• Your soul is unbound from the normal cycle of existence, every time your life ends instead of passing on to the afterlife, or reincarnating like you would normally, you instead continue to exist as a spirit.

• In this state you are intangible, invisible to all those that lack a way to detect souls and can only be harmed by attacks which are designed to interact with spiritual beings, you can attempt to possess another body by overpowering and devouring the existing soul. When this is done successfully, you will gain all the powers, abilities, memories and skills of the person whose body you have possessed. You always have perfect awareness of which memories are your own and which belong to you your victims, and will never mistake one set for another.

• As you devour more souls, your own soul will gradually grow in power, making the process of devouring souls easier and allowing you to target more powerful beings, furthermore as your soul's power grows it will gradually become resistant and later completely immune to harmful soul based afflictions, eventually culminating in your soul becoming completely immortal, and gaining the ability to restore itself from any damage no matter how severe.

• Your mind is now merged with your soul to the extent that they are basically one and the same, thanks to this you gain perfect memory with infinite storage. Your skills never degrade due to a lack of training or the passage of time, possessing a new body may require you to physically condition it from scratch, however 'muscle memory' is actually in the mind and will carry over without any problems.

• All souls have a base power which increases with age and certain forms of training, as such it is much easier to possess a child than an adult, it is likewise easier to possess a mundane person than one with supernatural and spiritual powers. Don't expect to be able to possess a 10'000-year-old elder dragon any time soon.

• Being unbound from the normal cycle of existence gives you the innate ability to traverse the Omniverse. When in spirit form, you can travel to any universe you wish, entering it at a location and time of your choosing.

• Powers and abilities do not transfer between universes unless they are an artifact of the soul and not the body. Likewise, powers and abilities only transfer if the metaphysics of the universe you are traveling to would support them existing there. If you enter a universe where your existing powers are unusable, the various metaphysical organs that allowed you to use those powers will rapidly atrophy and be reabsorbed by your soul. (Such organs include, but aren't limited to, Magic Circuits, Linker Cores, Magic Gates and Chakra Coils).

• You can willingly die by ejecting yourself from your current body, this is useful for those times when you desire to possess another being and saves you the trouble of having to come up with a way to kill yourself. This ability will never activate under any circumstances unless you genuinely and of your own free will want it to.

• All of these abilities are fundamental aspects of your soul and can never be stolen, sealed or lost, even through events such as apotheosis.
