Grabbing this broken toy-like wand, it released a massive sparkling discharge that surrounded you briefly before dissipating alongside the broken wand. You felt a well of power deep inside you, giving you hope for the betterment of all tomorrows… then immediate realization, despairing on your new fate. It appears you are now a Magical Girl. Not just any Magical Girl, but the so-called Modern Magical Girl of all Magical Girls.

• Before the sparkling discharge disappears, you have a chance to change your appearance. However, this change is locked to be cute. You may still be quite boyish, but it will translate to cute tomboy.

• Also, you are now a girl. A person of the feminine gender. Bearer of the XX Chromosome. A female. A being made from the first man’s rib or something.

• If you wish to have male genitals, you can be a futa. But never fully a boy… unless you are a femboy. Then you are skirting the girl territory while still being a boy, as such, you are girl enough to be a Magical Girl.

• You are considered the Ultimate Magical Girl. You have a spark of Hope that became a white hole to the point that it can never be snuffed out anymore. This White Hole of Hope influences everything in reality for the better, to the point that just by being there is enough to make the broken still realize that they can be repaired. That was supposed to happen. Instead, the spark responded to your despair as you gain this Essence. Instead of a White Hole of Hope, you have gained its opposite, the Black Hole of Hope. You drain the ambient Hope in the area and make things worse.

• Don’t worry about trying to transform into your Magical Girl Mode. As a Modern Magical Girl, you are transformed permanently. Giving you angst about whether or not you are truly just a normal girl.

• You no longer have any biological needs. You may choose to partake satiation of your non-existent hunger.

• Your Grief is endless to the point that everything around slowly covered with its murky aura. Exacerbating how likely horrible things to happen in an area. You may contain this Grief but the more you contain this Grief, the more you tend to have your emotions go out of control and lash out to everyone.

• As a Magical Girl, you have an outfit that is made entirely out of Pure Magic. This outfit changes to fit the Theme you are using… Unfortunately, you’re stuck on edgy versions of the Theme you have in mind.

• You are empowered by the Bonds you’ve made. Through those Bonds, you can get a little bit of help to fight. By cheering you on, you’ll be able to fight an unwinnable battle depending on how many people are cheering you on. But these Bonds are twisted. Any form of Bonds will always be guaranteed from those who are traumatized or have suffered bad things. Those who are not sufficiently traumatized or have suffered bad things tend to not like you at all.

• You are also empowered by the Concept of Love. So long as Love exists, you can never be defeated. Even then, you will always rise up to defeat your foes. However, there’s a catch. The more you use this aspect, the more the Concept of Love shrivels up. Use enough and no Love will appear in the Universe at all. People would feel some form of it but never truly. Are you prepared to be powerful but lose something important along the way?

• It has been said that Hope is worse than all of the Evils released by Pandora. That much is true to you. You can influence all the Evils in the current World or setting you are in. You may even materialize those Evils into metaphysical objects that you can weaponize or utilize.

• There’s a way to invert the Black Hole of Hope back into the White Hole Hope. So long as you keep holding onto that Hope of yours, you will slowly overturn that draining process and instead produce it. But that path is a lengthy and grueling process. It is better to stay as you are now, but should you choose to walk this path… You will truly become the Ultimate Magical Girl.

• You can generate and use Pure Magic. Unlike normal Magic, this Pure Magic is Magic itself at its Purest state. It is the most primal state of all Magical Systems. This Pure Magic can be shaped into Magical Systems that you can now use better than anyone who can use them. These Magical Systems are often called Themes. The more Pure Magic you use, the more powerful the things you can do.

• Pure Magic isn’t really Magic but a Fact that Reality accepts as Truth. Basically, discount Reality Warping. It's not true Reality Warp, as there is still a cost in using them, whilst Reality Warp has no cost at all.

• An example would be Nasuverse Magecraft. You will immediately gain a single True Magic if you’ve decided to tap into it and use it as a Magical Structure for Pure Magic to flow into.

• It has never said anything that the Pureness of your Pure Magic is actually Pure EVIL and not Pure Good. You’ll figure it out… eventually.

• You can use Pure Magic to travel to other Worlds or Setting. However, you’ll find something weird. You always appear in places that are brimming with Hope. As if the Universe wants you to balance out that Hope with your Despair.

• You also realize the “true magic”, the physique of the body. You have a grindset Olympic Swimmer build. Making you vastly athletic and strong akin to those certain pretty curing magical girls.

• Actually, this is just making you more receptive to training your physical body. Allowing you to become faster and stronger whilst staying cute.

• You may create Familiars that will search for individuals with immense potential to become Magical Girls. These Familiars are often called Mascots. They will unlock their ability to become Magical Girl and slowly make them acclimate to using Pure Magic that they will now generate. These Mascots are more likely to act like Kyubey and probably traumatize the poor Magical Girl they have chosen.

• Don’t worry about them dying; they will respawn somewhere safe and will appear to the Magical Girl they have chosen.

• If they are a boy or male gender, they are turned into tomboys.

• Optionally, everything above what this Essence does is your true potential. You will start as an ordinary girl who doesn’t know any magic at all before unlocking your Magical Girl powers at their weakest. This will allow you to acclimate to your new role as a Magical Girl and get to your potential faster if you train or you’re very creative. Mid-way, you will a soul-crushing despair that turns you into a Bonafide Modern Magical Girl that will slowly unlock everything what this Essence gives to you. The unlocking process will accelerate the more conflict you are currently in.

• Optionally, you can take any individuals who can transform magically as your Companion.

• The hard limit for the companions you may take are beings that are similar to a fanon version of Serafall Leviathan. Traumatized and using a coping mechanism to stop thinking about the horrible deeds they made in the past.

• Normally, you would be given a Setting Ticket, but someone out there cried for help to a Magical Girl. What better way to answer than the one who can make all Magical Girls look like a total soft-hearted newbie? If you choose to answer, be exceptionally warned. The Setting you’re about to go to needs a Hope to burn brighter than any other. This Setting is considered the Absolute Universe of all Magical Girl Settings combined. That Setting is only known as MAGICAMI by the Highest Echelons, the Authors.

• As an option, you may choose not to answer the cry for help and instead get a normal Setting Ticket… you heartless monster.

• This Essence can’t be erased, forcibly changed, removed, or stolen. Doing so will incur the wrath of either your Future Self or the Wondrous Blue, the Occultic Phantasmagorica. Whichever is the closest to your Dimensional Address.
