Essence of theOne Shrouded with Power (WC's Shroud of Power)

Donning this worn-down cloak, you felt strange. It’s as if the cloak itself became a part of your very existence.

• One-time appearance change ticket. Use it whenever you want. Its effects are all the same. A permanent retroactive cosmetic makeover.

• You have obtained something known as the Shroud of Power.

• How sentient do you want it to be? Will you give it the same mind as those of the House of K members? Or perhaps, an annoying brat? That will be up to you.

• The Shroud of Power constantly adapts, evolves, grows, and maintains itself. It will restore itself after a while and may be boosted by your own regeneration. It is, after all, a part of you.

• The Shroud of Power can assimilate anything, living or not. Space and Time are immediately being assimilated the moment you get this Essence.

• The Shroud of Power has enhanced you; it will further the development of your physical form by suffusing your body with excess pieces of its own.

• You can manifest weapons by shaping the Shroud of Power to either form them from itself or create them completely into reality. The latter option would make you lose some Metaphorical Threads… which will be explained below.

• You have obtained a Special Spool of Metaphorical Threads that you can use to upgrade the Shroud of Power further. The Spool is stored in your very SOUL, so don’t lose it… Unless you want to have a treasure hunt thing going on.

• You generate an inch of the Metaphorical Thread every second. The rate of generation can be upgraded through the special spool you have, with each upgrade doubling the amount you generate.

• The Shroud of Power can be upgraded to gain a concept or an element. Either by using the Metaphorical Threads or letting it assimilate the concept or element. However, the more conceptual it is, the more the Shroud of Power needs to assimilate it.

• If you have the One who Flows with the Whims, you’ll find the Heart of Infinity boosting the capabilities of your Shroud.

• The Special Spool count can now be increased by using up a thousand yards of Methaphorical Threads. The special spool count is maximized at only ten spools. It can no longer be stolen as it became one with your existence.

• The maximum limit will be changed if you have an Essence that changes your limitations, and that limit will be removed if you have an Essence that outright removes your limitations. (e.g. The Essence of Blank, or something similar to it, will grant infinite special spools.)

• The generation rate of Metaphorical Threads is now increased to one yard per second. All previous purchases are increased to account for the change.

• You may use up the Metaphorical Threads of ten Special Spools to make an inch of Pataphorical Threads. You can use these Pataphorical Threads to upgrade the Shroud with Concepts or Elements that can’t normally be assimilated. (ex. Reality, Stories, Kinesis, Stasis, Flow, Narratives…)

• The Spool can’t generate Pataphorical Threads automatically and must be converted manually. Think of this as the Prestige mechanic.

• Optionally, you may gain the power to use a mile of Pataphorical Threads to get a random Essence.

• You may take a portion of the Shroud of Power and share it with the people whom you consider allies. If you’ve decided to take it back, then the portion assimilates or binds them.

• You can use the Shroud of Power to bind a sapient or sentient to you so wholly with its threads. They can’t do anything against you and your commands, whether by its letter or the spirit.

• Those bound to you have a symbol somewhere in their body. The default is the lewd crest from those hentai.

• Those who willingly bind themselves to you will experience a boost in their overall capabilities.

• This binding is not absolute, it can be broken by those with sufficient willpower.

• You can share your powers with those whom you bound. Be warned that they might find a way to comply maliciously if they don’t like you that much.

• Optionally, this will function akin to a hivemind. However, unlike the Essence of Hivemind, this connection isn’t absolute and can be disrupted.

• If you have the Essence of the Hivemind, then this is absolute.

• This Essence (and by transitive property, its effects) can’t be erased, forcibly changed, removed, or stolen. Trying to do so will cause one of two things to happen:

• It will cause a bounty to appear in the attempter’s head on the infamous Company. They are given a few minutes of head start before their Wild Hunt unit appears to either capture or kill them for points.

• The Shroud assimilates them and gives their power to you.
