Essence of theX-Virus

This spiky ball shaped Essence with some sort of writhing colorful mass, tastes like every jolly rancher mixed into one, but in liquid form.

• Due to the ever changing nature of this Essence, you can do a one time remake too your body, however you like of your species, human or otherwise in the current setting your in. This gives you a form of painless biological Shapeshifting that's instant. This also makes you biologically immortal. At first, you will only be able to make yourself the peak of your race. This also comes with the side benefit of unlimited stamina and forgoing food and any other natural bodily needs if you choose to do so.

• While still technically human, you now are predominantly an X-Virus. You aren't technically dead by any means, and you can still feel whatever emotions you like or completely add or alter new ones. Same goes for the chemistry of your brain, body, psyche, etc. There are no negatives when you shift forms, unless you include them. The same goes for any abilities or powers you acquire, as well as any knowledge and skills you gain. This also does not hinder any reproductive capability's, and even adds it where applicable.

• You can change the color of your X form to whatever you want, even changing the colors of other forms of X-viruses.

• Your base form is significantly more durable than any of your species. What this means is while a normal human will be taken down by a few bullets and bleed profusely, you would be able to shrug it off and not bleed while still functioning at 100%. Chain guns might test that.

• Depending on the species you choose to take, depends on your durability. Compared to weaker caliber bullets a double barrel barrel shotgun to the face in human form would nearly destabilize you, rather then your head going splat.

• Use a regular fantasy orc, and It would take a few rockets to the face before the same effect happens. Use a dragon and you'd take only half as much damage from dragon slaying weapons/abilities, nearly being immune to damage outside of the aforementioned weapons/abilities, or something capable of rending mountains that would kill or cripple a normal dragon. Etc.

• Damage done to you can destabilize your base form of whatever you're taking. While some forms are much more durable than others, destabilization can still occur. If you destabilize too much, you will revert to your true form, which is that of the X-Virus, its boss variant. While there's only really two forms, a highly mobile spiky ball form, great for ramming into things, but weak to strong explosives, and a slower, nearly indestructible bigger spiky ball form, who's glowing eye (that fires beams of energy and can open and close) is its weak point using high explosive yield. You gain the best of both aspects with only the weakness of having your eye being the weak point.

• At base form, this makes you more durable than normal boss X-Viruses. While it would take around six, super missiles to kill a normal boss X-Virus, for you it would be 12. This also comes with the fun feature of being able to fly and clip through any surface. You will still somehow be capable of seeing even while clipping. You will form back into whatever form you took soon after destabilization as well. You can otherwise shift between that and the boss X-Virus form quick and seamlessly unless destabilization occurs as mentioned above. (think of it as a cooldown period before you can go back to your regular human form or otherwise).

• You're still able to see everything around you while your glaring weakness is closed.

• When attacked, you'll let out smaller x-viruses that are able to infect and control any living being and any mechanical beings out there, unless someone is able to absorb and use them seamlessly. This also goes for if your form is destroyed. You can fly into another host and infect them, as long as they aren't capable of absorbing and using you. You'll instinctively know if someone is capable of absorbing and utilizing you. Though unless they are a Metroid, someone with Metroid DNA, a powerful biokinetic, or somebody with a biological immunity, you should be relatively fine. The chances of finding someone with the last effect are as probable as winning the lotto jackpot 100 times in a row and getting the woman/ man of your dreams without the help of powers/abilities.

• The last effect cannot be influenced by gods, protagonists, cheats of any kind, etc. it's something that may or may not naturally exist and can in no way be manipulated.

• You still can be killed, no matter the form your in. it'll just be nearly impossible. It would take the entirety of an asteroid sized space station crashing on you and exploding in order to kill you. Or the equivalent of a bomb capable of destroying a massive city. That is if your in a normal human form (powered or otherwise) or your X form. (Durability plays a huge factor).

• To clarify. If your spiky ball form is destroyed, it'll be easier for you to die given the above mentioned deaths.

• Now for the fun part of the Virus. You can control any existing X-Viruses that you have created, no matter the power. The same goes for any existing X-Viruses nearby. You're capable of absorbing any X-Viruses out there, which can lead to gaining powers/ abilities, or even restoring health, energy, ammunition, etc. from your infected hosts. rule of thumb is usually the green ones restore ammunition and powers and such, while the yellows, and blues restore health. The reds restore large quantities of both but are much more uncommon. Any other color variants found or created are for you to discover. Each infected host has its on unique color. Some hosts also take longer to infect then others.

• You have more control on how you infect things then regular X-Viruses. You can have them do there original purpose of infecting the host and controlling them with the purpose of spreading like a plague, or you could infect them as normal, but you'd be able to control them easily. Infected hosts retain any skills, powers, abilities, knowledge, personality, memories, etc. they once had. They don't even need to know they are infected as you subtly manipulate them or flat out control them like a hive mind. You can also absorb those viruses and obtain the aforementioned things above. As for stronger entities, they require more powerful viruses, especially the case for godlike entities. They would need multiple powerful X-Viruses in order to truly infect them.

• You can of course forgo the manipulating host part if you like and have the virus copy all of the entities abilities and such, and have it leave the hosts body, leaving them with a nasty cold at minimum. You can decide how painless/painful it is for the infected host, or even if you want their abilities and such. Or even if you want them to die afterwards.

• No matter the powers or abilities or cheats your Vic- hosts might have. Once infected with the x virus. They will be powerless to removed it. Anything short of death would be the only way to remove it (that or Metroid DNA) but even then, they would be revived due to the virus, but without there soul… for now.

• You can reabsorb the virus in any infected host, not only gaining there biology, but any skills, powers, bloodline abilities, knowledge, etc. that they have. (the caveat being it can't be anything metaphysical such as mana for example) Even traits animals have, can be added to your biology such as night vision from a panther, strength of a gorilla, gills of a fish, bio electricity of an eel, etc. your body will be shaped and look how you want to look, so no need to worry about unwanted physical mutations, unless you want it. This also means you can mess around with your DNA and even streamline it to make yourself better, add new features, utilize abilities better, etc. all without accidentally killing yourself, Since messing with DNA is instinctive by nature for you; knowing all the do's and dont's is natural for you.

• Though the host doesn't necessarily need to be infected. As long as a strand of their DNA remains, even if there long dead, it Can take the form of the host. Natural Powers and all. (if you went to Harry potter years after the basilisk was killed. You could absorb it and utilize it's capabilities).

• As a side affect, given time. You'll learn how to alter the DNA of entities because of this by touch, or one day maybe with thought. That is, if you gain the right abilities to project your DNA manipulation.

• Think of it as if you had a tinker 10 specialization in biology, without the drawbacks of being a tinker while keeping the positives, while giving physics the infected bird. Quite literally in some cases.

• Aside from being able to absorb entities with unique abilities like a superhuman or even a mech suit, you can obtain natural abilities by becoming part of its source.

• An example would be being in an electrical grid and absorbing electricity to gain electric like abilities, like shooting lightning. with enough time and effort, you can manipulate it perfectly as you please. The same can go for any elements your in, whether real or fantasy. The limit on how you use your abilities is your imagination. Anything can be feasibly achieved with enough time, effort, and experimentation.

• Certain metaphysical elements, such as a magic core or the soul itself are beyond you to replicate in the beginning. This won't however, stop you from acquiring a source of power that is biological, such as Midiclorians from Star Wars, or shard powers from worm, etc. there is a vast Omniverse out there. Never know what you'll find.

• Learning new abilities and how to utilize them comes naturally to you, making it far easier then it should, to use any powers/abilities you gain, as well as learning new ways to manipulate it. There is no limit.

• Given time, the X-Virus and by extension you, can evolve endlessly into new variants not even thought of. Adapting and improving where possible. It can eventually affect the ethereal and abstract, or even concepts. Though that part is far off from what you are capable of doing now.

• This also means in theory you can eventually acquire magical capabilities.

• Naturally, this will make you and your abilities stronger, more durable, faster, efficient, etc. your evolutions are limitless. This also improve your X-virus form.

• Even negative side effects of certain species, such as demons weakness to holy magic, a dragons weakness to dragon slaying weapons/magic, bug types being weak against damn near every kind of types, etc. can be removed given time.

• As a result of being an X-virus, you gain the ability to infinitely multitask, controlling an indefinite amount of X-viruses without any effort, even one day infecting planets like earth will barely put a strain on you. On top of that, it costs nothing to create X-Viruses, though ones with unique powers, might make your own noticeably weaker, but only temporarily. An example would be creating a hundred Viruses capable of firing plasma beam in order for you too lose that power, but even then, it'll eventually recover.

• Any viruses can take the form of anything you have access too or created. You can choose whether it uses the skills, powers, etc. of the form it takes, or mix and match to create new variants with combined skills/ powers, which you can reabsorb to gain its new power.

• Any powers, abilities, skills, etc. that you gain will never conflict with one another, even if they should. Everything will work seamlessly. You also gain an infinite memory with all the works, to store the massive information, powers, skills, etc. that you gain, and are able to instantly recall anything.

• Your powers cannot be suppressed, tampered, used against you, etc. in any conceivable and inconceivable way. If attempted, the entity doing so will be instantly infected and under your full absolute, control. No matter its power.

• One final thing you gain is a hunter like ability. Unique individuals, (especially protagonists/antagonists) can be hunted down. You gain a general location of where they might be. It's not perfect and they could still hide from you, but it'll only be a matter of time.

• You also gain two theme songs when you're chasing your target. By default it is dramatic, terrifying, and catchy. You and your target will be able to hear this music. The second is When you or your target are nearby, a suspenseful, eerie theme will play with the subtle sound of a heartbeat will play in the background, letting the both of you know you are close. your footsteps echo dramatically as you walk (this can be toggled on and off). The theme is made to your taste and preference, making it the perfect BGM while following the theme mentioned above. (Can't make hunting down the target you assigned too easy).

• The themes will unnerve your target, making them more likely to make a mistake. Even more likely to run from fear when being chased for the weak willed or low powered. You can allow anyone to hear the theme, even if they aren't your target. (The theme effect can be toggled on and off).

• Upon consumption of this Essence, you will soon accidentally infect and absorb someone, with the simple capability of traveling the Omniverse. ( With the minor benefit of being a blind spot for any entity's that exist in your current setting that can sense you intruding, or path you, until your true X form is noticed. Even then. Precogs and such will have a difficult time predicting you; but not impossible. This doesn't come with a supernatural source of power unfortunately) The person you absorbed was also an irredeemable, entitled, colossal asshole with enough edge to make a nanothorn blade weep in envy. Funny coincidence isn't it?
