Essence of theGrand Tapestry

By consuming this Essence contained in a bottle which is clearly solid while also somehow being amorphous, you develop a Tapestry comprised semi-sapient capes of solidified magic (Shrouds) that can act as an extension of your will.

• A Shroud can shift its form and texture into a wide variety of shapes, allowing it to imitate any outfit, ropes, tendrils, hands, blades and similar forms. By default, the constructs have the textures of textiles. It is extremely durable and capable of significant amounts of strength and speed, and you gain a form of tactile feedback from it. The Shroud can absorb clothing, clothing like objects (such as power armor) and handheld items to manifest again, with all their capabilities intact.

• As the Tapestry is woven through the Omniverse, it can act as a power source and filter for powers, removing the need for a background energy field, while severing any connections to a Patron that it's members may have while maintaining their gifts.

• A Shroud will also express an elemental affinity, usually a reflection of your personality or existing powers. This element may be a classical element or a thematic style. Constructs made by the shroud may be made with this element instead of the default textiles.

• You may split off manifestations of your Shroud, so they exist separate from your Tapestry. Normally, split off sections of a Shroud may not be mentally controlled (with the sole exception of disrupting the manifestation) and will last for around thirty seconds without contact with your Tapestry (more solid elements, such as metals, will tend to last longer). A Manifestation of a Shroud is a manifestation of your Tapestry.

• You gain the ability to teleport within line of sight or to the location of any manifestations of your Tapestry. Any locations which are bound to you are also valid targets for your teleportation abilities. If you have an ability which provides a storage facility of some kind, having uncontested control of an object and wrapping it in your shroud allows you to teleport it to the storage. These teleportation features can breach dimensional boundaries and have no range limitations, although you do need to be able to precisely target your destination. Teleportation of others is possible if they are fully encased in a manifestation of your shroud, with the same targeting limitations.

• Over time, you can develop new techniques relating to your element, such as the ability to sense the element, affect existing sources of the element at range, infusing yourself with the element to improve your physical capabilities, communicating with manifestations of your element, extending the lifespan of separated manifestations, controlling separated manifestations, and potentially even transforming yourself into the element.

• You may weave additional Shrouds into your Tapestry by infusing another with your Shroud, a process which permanently adds them to your Tapestry. This process is entirely voluntary on the part of the person joining the Tapestry.

• Someone who is added to your Tapestry will develop a subconscious awareness of the activities and needs of other members of the Tapestry.

• As part of your Tapestry, members will also gain a Shroud of their own, which manifests an element based on their personality or existing affinities. Members will consider their shroud to be their most comfortable outfit, and they gain all of the features that the Shroud regularly has.

• Members of the Tapestry can draw on any other elemental affinity within the Tapestry as if it were their own element. The strength of such a manifestation depends on the intimacy or intensity of the relationship between the two people, and advanced techniques will need to be learned separately for each element – being able to shape air is very different from being able to shape fire.

• Over time, the subconscious sense can develop into a sort of telepathic group chat, and potentially even progress to sense sharing.

• Members of the Tapestry can learn abilities that other members of the Tapestry possess – for example, attaching a Jedi to the Tapestry will allow all members to develop Force Abilities.

• Optionally, weaving someone into your tapestry may be involuntary on the part of the person being woven into it. This is achieved by infusing your will into them – the length of time required for this depends on the relative power level between yourself and the person being infused, taking up to a month for a godlike being resisting with all of their will.

• People bound this way will react to your needs and will be unable to oppose your direct orders. Over time, they will begin to anticipate orders you haven't given them yet. If you find individuals who are woven into your tapestry attractive, this will manifest as a mutual attraction, and jealousy issues will be prevented. You will also be able to override their uses of the shroud – even being able to adjust the manifestation of the shroud as clothing.
