AI summary

Lets you form three-dimensional light constructs and sculpt them either with a special tool or as though using the most intuitive 3D modelling software, at any scale from tiny to enormous, for buildings, landscapes or creatures. The tool defaults to an etching scalpel but becomes any brush or implement you need with every paint colour, tone and blending technique, while reshaping or undoing your work takes only an act of will, and reference lines and guide shapes appear on request. You can scan real objects inside and out into a mental library of 3D models, convert photos, paintings or existing models into editable 3D forms, print the finished work in whatever material you choose, and animate constructs left as light within line of sight.

Description

This Essence smells like paint and tastes like clay, granting you these boons:

Effects

9
  • The ability to form three dimensional light constructs which you can sculpt both with a special tool and as if working with the most intuitive computer generated 3D modeling program.

  • Constructs can be as large or small as desired, easily scaled up or down for elaborate detailing, and can be for any kind of modeling like buildings, landscapes, or creatures. Things scaled up or down do not lose their detailing or definition.

  • The special sculpting tool defaults to an etching scalpel but can form any tool or brush you need and any paint colors, tones, blends, and other techniques imaginable to bring your art into life-like reality, allowing it to appear aged, oily, brand new, decrepit, etc.

  • Adjusting your sculpture's form or undoing your work is as easy as an act of will. From posing, to shaping muscles or stone, to applying gold filigree to a suit of armor, to coloring the entire thing or large sections, to every pockmarked hole in brick, warped metal, rise or ridges in a lizardman's face, no matter how large or small the change, you can pull or push, add or remove things to match your vision. Went too far outside the paint line? You can remove the excess. A detail that doesn't look quite right? You can erase or shift only the bits you intend.

  • You can do things like cause lines to appear around your sculptures to act as references or borders for its shape. Need a house? A simple four corner shape provides a quick build. Need a human? There's a basic humanoid shape for that too! You can manipulate those lines too to create warped features or specific architecture, you can even simulate forces as if the sculpture were melting, burning, or blown apart. You can also do things like section off parts of the model such as separating a roof from a building to detail the space inside, remove layers from a creature to detail muscles beneath skin, organs, and bones; or suspend the model or parts in the air, spin them, and otherwise hold or manipulate them in whatever way you need.

  • For even quicker and easier modeling, you have the ability to scan real life objects down to the last detail, inside and out, and save it as a 3D image that you can then project from a mental library as part of your model or even as something to customize for your final vision. Your current projects are also saved to your mental library and can be copied and pasted as many times as you need street lamps or goblin armies.

  • For images from photos, paintings, other 3D computer models etc. you can copy and save that image and then convert it to a 3D form from which you can customize to your liking.

  • Once you've completed your artistic vision, you can then make it a reality. Your light construct will print out the model in whatever materials you desire. Clays, paper mache, wood types, plasters, plastics, acrylics, glass, metals, minerals, gels, foams, clothes, etc. And reality will shift to make room for your creations. Sadly, a creature you took the time to sculpt down to the finest detail won't actually be animate or alive with this essence alone, even if you use all the right materials, but surely there's a market for such fleshly constructs.

  • Constructs that remain as light can be moved as if animated using your will, if you want to try your hand at stop motion or making films or other more obvious applications, but this is limited to line-of-sight and light based constructs are fragile, shattering with one good blow. To that end you have nigh infinite multitasking, perfect memory, and a talent at life-like animation.
