AI summary
Lets you build, modify, decorate and update a house on the fly, including existing ones, so long as you own or can claim the property, converting money directly into materials. You start with a stipend covering the basics, with better materials unlocking as your budget grows, and everything is installed to professional standard regardless of your own skill so utilities, insulation and finishes are always sound. Building and customisation happen through a grid interface with effort optional, you can sell or recycle materials for most of their value, and the same system extends to your yard, vehicles and outbuildings, including clearing untouched land.

Description
This essence tastes like wood and tile, with a dash of self-made satisfaction, it grants you these boons.
Effects
17You are given powers that allow you to build, modify, decorate, and update a house on the fly, even a previously existing one. You just have to own the property or, in such cases where you’re washed up on a deserted isle or settling a frontier, establish a claim which can be as simple as carving a marking and your name on a large stone or in a tree, even a temporary flag will do.
You are able to directly convert money into materials to build your home. You get a starting stipend of money in whatever currency you use that would be enough to get you the basics; floor, four walls, roof, bathroom, bed, and fridge plus the meals inside it, with maybe a little extra for lights; that may be as much as 10,000 USD or 100 gold coins depending on setting and inflation costs.
The materials you use will reflect your budget, so they will be cheap but decent. You only get your stipend once and must provide funds from another source, like a job. You’ll unlock better materials as your budget increases and you always know how much money you have at any given time. You won't lose access to previous cheap materials as your budget increases, in case you want to save money.
Building your home or customizing it takes no effort unless you want it to. By default you get a screen with the materials and items available to you to choose from, selecting materials designated for certain sections of the house will reveal a grid system of glowing tiles where they can be placed, and then you just point and watch them materialize. If you make a mistake it can be undone easily and you'll get every cent of your money back. You can physically install everything yourself if you want, in far less time than should be possible, by simply dialing back how things work on an effort scale with the lowest being your typical Idle Game experience and the highest being your Minecraft experience. Even on the highest setting though the work passes in seconds to minutes, rather than hours even if you’re the only one putting up walls.
You can sell or recycle materials and items as needed. If you bought a house that needed fixing you could recycle any materials from it instead of physically knocking down walls or pulling up floors to throw out and replace. You’ll get 75% back for any damaged material allowing you to add to your piggybank.
Everything is installed in a professional manner no matter the materials worked with or the effort setting you use. Your ability to build or change your house is not dependent on your own knowledge and skill of how to do so. Your utilities and insulation will just appear where they need to be to make sense for whatever electric or plumbing projects you add to your layout and even whole meals appear premade in hot or cold states inside your fridge.
This means your house can weather a storm, you won’t have leaks or faulty electric and power problems beyond what you yourself cause, and there won’t be any odd gaps where the walls meet the floor and ceiling or tiles that don't quite fit right. Everything will look neat and tidy when properly finished.
Customization is equally easy. You’re able to adjust how high you want those walls, what color and pattern you want your drapes, the shape of your fixtures, whether your house follows a theme. Do you want to start out with a micro-home? Add a second story later? A basement? Turn that micro-home into an entryway? Turn your whole house so it faces east? Or just move the doors and windows? It's all possible and more, and you don’t have to lift anything heavy. When you apply paint to your walls it's already dry, no need to vent for paint fumes or even move anything out of the room and there won’t be a speck of paint on your things.
You can do the same for your yard or other things you own. Want to remove a thorny bush so you can plant a garden? Just bring up your grid system, point at that bush, and it will be gone, no need for heavy gloves or power tools. Need to fix your RV? Your shed or lawnmower? You get the idea. You can also decorate your lawn too.
In cases where you start out with property that hasn't been maintained or known the touch of human hands, you can use your recycling system to clear the earth to make way for your building plans. Clear trees, stone, fill in holes, drain swamps and ponds, even move creaks and small rivers with no more effort than you do for anything else.
While in survival mode, where you can't rely on a steady income of money to feed yourself, other options are made available. If you were near water you could buy a fishing pole and net that sits and catches fish for you, near woods you could buy traps for critters and beasts, you could grow various food that grows quickly, continuously, and is easily harvested, with a specific table to prepare each of these things. These things can then be sold and kept as food so you're not spending money for your meals.
The things you clear from your property can give you greater material yields to sell or build your house with while in survival mode, ridiculous yields like a bush giving you 6 logs that give you 5 wooden boards each.
You'll be capable of building wells with endless pure fresh water, finding or buying and installing infinite mines that produce ore, even diamonds and gold if you save up enough, and create the sort of homestead that can basically run itself.
Whatever the circumstances you build your home under, the materials and items are remarkably sturdy. Spill water on the floor? Even if you left it for days there wouldn't be any water damage. And you never seem to need to dust the place, though doing so gives it a polished, sparkled look. In fact any messes cleaned up never leave stains or evidence of any kind regardless of what material they were spilled on, there won't be any unpleasant odors too so even if you threw the biggest party you don't have to worry about your house stinking of booze or other smells. Fire and severe weather, such as tornadoes and hurricanes, seems to be the only things that can really leave a mark…until you clean up and replace everything damaged.
While the house remains largely pristine by itself, it will not clean up after you or any natural disasters. Beds will remain unmade, furniture knocked over, and messes generally left where they lay but cleanup is a breeze, taking only a few seconds for each mess. If you absolutely, positively don't want to clean up after yourself, your system will make available the services of an NPC maid or caretaker who will do the work so long as you have sufficient wealth and income to afford them with any of your other expenses. They are an NPC, not a real person, no one will question this.
Any house you build is fully paid for, you won't have to pay for a mortgage or taxes and you won’t be questioned about insurance. Your neighbors, if you have any, won't find the speed of your build or any other changes strange unless you point it out or are especially blatant about it, such as replacing things right in front of their face, they will otherwise rationalize it and have a tendency to be looking away or be otherwise occupied elsewhere for a length of time enough to avert suspicion.
If you find yourself moving to other worlds, their materials and items will be made available and follow you throughout your journey. Be careful with those security systems, they can be a little much for your average visitor.
