Essence of theIcarus (DSP)

This Essence comes in the form of a strange gel. It tastes like starlight - warm, ephemeral, and potent.

• You now can transform into the form of an Icarus, a giant robot.

• You are tough enough to survive crashing into lava at relativistic speeds without damage, can fly next to black holes without spaghettifying, and can survive any amount of radiation or entropy.

• You have an energy core capable of holding incredible amounts of energy. This can provide power directly to any of your systems or any of your drones.

• The energy core is charged via an energy circuit which is capable of absorbing chemical and nuclear energy from any material. It can also absorb energy from annihilation reactions. The absorption is 100% efficient and can stopped and throttled at will. Fuels within the core’s chamber will not decay or otherwise release energy unless required.

• You have an internal storage capable of holding approximately the mass of a small moon, whether in bulk raw materials like hydrogen or in the form of prefabricated structures.

• Your sensors are capable of detecting and analyzing planets and moons within a hundred light years, giving rough data about composition and conditions.

• Within your shoulders you have drone bays that store and rebuild construction drones, which are your method of placing down, moving, or collecting buildings and structures. These can be expanded large enough to contain entire fleets of drone warships, and with enough systems to maintain said fleets.

• On your back are your flight systems, which allow you to go into orbit effortlessly and cruise throughout space at several times the speed of light using your “Sail” FTL.” Your “Warper” FTL drive requires single-use space warpers to function, but can reach millions of times the speed of light.

• Your deconstruction beam can be used to collect raw materials from the environment and manipulate terrain.

• In this form, you can be altered like any other machine, and can restore previous states when transforming into Icarus form.

• While in smaller forms, you maintain your toughness, power systems, internal storage, sensors, and drone bays.

• You do not maintain your flight systems, FTL drives, weapons, or deconstruction beam in smaller forms that lack indications of such.

• Any of your components can be improved, statistically, simply by applying universe matrices to them. This can be repeated, but costs more each time you apply the same boost.

• You can also use your universe matrices to provide a statistical boost to any class of machine or unit that is part of your factories and holdings, or any class of unit that you are in command of. This requires the use of matrix labs. It can be repeated, but costs more each time you apply the same boost.

• Your mind has been transformed into a perfect fusion of organic and digital. This gives you perfect memory, removes the need to sleep, expands the size of your thoughts, improves your reflexes greatly, allows you to handle 50+ orders of magnitude of times more sensory input, lets you near-instantly adapt to new types of sensory input, and allows you to multitask on thousands of tasks at once with more focus than a human on a single task.

• As long as you have the correct protocols, you can connect with any computer without the need for any external hardware.

• Included with this is a complete download of all technology created by CentreBrain, a megastructure aspiring to be a Matrioshka Brain. This includes advanced industry, such as easily reconfigurable and rapid production, hassle-free mining, and transportation and storage that can even handle antimatter without any energy input. Materials science includes rigid structures capable of reaching 100 kilometers tall in Earth-like gravity, while also resisting the wind shear from being placed in the upper atmosphere of a gas giant. Military technology includes near-lightspeed railguns, implosion cannons, Sail FTL missiles, and shields capable of protecting entire planets from “I will be revoking this planet’s crust and mantle privileges” level attacks.

• While you do get the blueprints for Icarus-type mecha, both the manufacture and infrastructure required to make critical components like the drone bays, energy core, and AI processors requires the usage of universe matrices. You can copy a brain into a new Icarus AI or convert it into the Executive/Limbic Core Block directly, resulting in the same self occupying the mainframe that the brain had.

• You have CentreBrain’s security software, which renders you and all your creations immune to hacking, malignant access, mind control, corruption, and so on.

• The download also includes two technologies that were not developed by Center Brain: a multiversal portal, and a modified Dyson Sphere segment.

• The portal requires about 10% P to open but only kilowatts to act as a beacon and transceiver for similar ☉ portals elsewhere, and only needs to be fully powered on one side. It also includes navigation and control software.

• The modified segments, once enough of them are around a star, will stabilize it, preventing it from building up metals and aging, or even just losing mass, while not interfering with power output.

• Optionally, when you drink this, you may be transported to a star cluster that fits the criteria CentreBrain uses to assign their COSMO Agents with their own Icarus.

• You may choose to go to a cluster with or without the presence of Dark Fog, a hostile, self-replicating homogenizing swarm.
