The Essence ofSonic

This Essence tastes like a chili dog. All elements of this Essence are optional.

• This Essence lets you devise an alternate form for yourself, one that is either an exaggerated human (proportion-wise), or an anthropomorphic, five foot tall, form that incorporates elements of a bird, mammal, or reptile of your choice.

• This Essence lets you go fast. Like... really fast. You'll start off able to run at a casual, sustainable Mach 5, but with even simple training you can easily raise this to Mach 25 before you need to actually work to raise your speed. You have powers that protect your environment from the effects of moving at such speeds, unless you want to ravage your surroundings with sonic booms. You can also react, think, and perceive your surroundings effortlessly despite your speed. And you are protected from the effects of hitting something solid at such speeds, so running into an iron wall won't end with you getting pasted.

• With this you gain access to a replenishing supply of rings that are stored in a hammerspace inventory you can access at will. When hit you will drop these rings. So long as you are not hit when you have zero rings you can survive anything that would not destroy your body. If you lose all of your rings, you will begin to regenerate rings at a rate of one ring per hour until you hit fifty rings.

• You can utilize the "Chaos" series of techniques, such as "Chaos control" and "Chaos spear". You do need a Chaos Emerald to do them, but you start off with one in the same hammerspace as your rings. This emerald starts off unable to fuel repeated uses of your powers, but as you grow increasingly familiar with the powers it'll grow increasingly able to fuel your abilities. Over time this emerald can become a Master emerald and can be used to transform normal emeralds into Chaos Emeralds. It still fits in your hammerspace inventory.

• You become a mechanical genius, able to create the equivalent to badniks as well as match Tails' own propensity for creating unique vehicles. You also become a master of using alternate fuel sources, such as the intelligence and sapience of tiny woodland critters.

• You gain Knuckle's raw power and tenacity, as well as his apparent immunity to boredom.

• You gain your own island, complete with a fused tribe of some sort of critter (like Flickies) and some sort of anthropomorphic animal (such as Echidnas), who live in symbiosis and view you as their king or chief. This island can float, and if it does you can interface with some arcane artifact on it that lets you control where it goes. If you make knowledge of the island commonplace, or if you reside in a modern world, people will be intrigued by the island and foreign governments will want to connect with you and make alliances. This also grants you diplomatic immunity and can be leveraged into gaining status as a prominent world leader.

• You gain a replenishing supply of some relatively simple food in your hammerspace. It defaults to chili dogs, but you can swap that out with something else such as hamburgers or even plain hotdogs.

• You can optionally be transported to any Sonic continuity. Wanna go to the universe the Sonic movie takes place in? I got you. Wanna go to the comics? You sure can! Wanna be in Sonic X? Go fast, baby. Are you a classic Sonic fan? Why not meet the first renditions of the Blue Blur yourself?!
