The Essence ofVought (The Boys)

Drinking this Essence makes you feel the power of comically unethical research supercharge your cells.

• Upon drinking this essence you gain the power to manifest the powers utilized by Supes, whether they are a true Supe like Ryan, a temporary Supe like Hugie & The Butcher, or a more mundane Supe who was the product of the experiments that eventually produced Stormfront, Solder Boy, and the "heroes" of The Seven. These powers include fairly traditional superhero stuff, like super strength and flight, and stranger things like Soldier Boy's radiation blast or Congresswoman Neuman's molecular combustion.

• You become, by default, the founder & CEO of "Your Last Name Here, International", a company that is very emphatically a PHARMACEUTICAL company and NOT a superhero company. This multi-billion-dollar-grossing company has produced a chemical that can transform humans into Supes, granting them power. You can decide how freely this is distributed, and how much the public knows about the Supe creation process.

• If you wish you can become the head of a group of superheroes who publicly do much the PR of the company, and have a number of powers at your discretion.

• You can decide how widespread Supes are in the world, as when you imbibe the essence you will have a chance to retroactively edit history to reflect the involvement of your company. If you wish you can simply be the latest head of the company and NOT the founder, but that's up to you.

• You can distribute powers to anyone you wish, as you and you alone have the authority to get people treated with any version of Compound V, from a version that is guaranteed not to kill or hurt even elderly people to a version that will give someone superpowers for twenty-four hours before cutting their remaining life expectancy in half.

• You gain your own version of Vought Tower that you can place in any city you wish. It will have enough floors for there to be plenty of room for corporate activities and a penthouse suite for you to live in, as well as apartment-floor underneath you for anyone you want to let live with you, but not in the same rooms as you.

• You gain conditional eidetic memory, specifically with regard to the abilities of Supes. You can utilize any of their powers, and beneficial passive powers are always affecting you (such as enhanced durability, and passive immunity to sensory overlord from something like massively enhanced sensory range).

• Your company has connections to military and paramilitary groups all over the world that you can act on or ignore at your leisure. Such groups would become fanatically loyal to you if you gave them any semblance of aid, and their fanaticism would dramatically increase if you lent them something like a temporary version of compound V, or even lent them supes who were not known to the public as secret shock troopers.
