At the beginning this is as subtle as a brick, where others simply see a black void with anything involving you, with time the cloak will learn to hide you in much better ways, eventually even feeding false information to those who try to see your past or future.
While the cloak is very good at what it does it isn’t perfect (yet) and the sight of some beings might still be able to pierce through the cloak (either partly of fully), don’t expect to fool the sight of an omniscient god any time soon.
The cloak will also learn how to hide you from other things (hide your mind from a mind reader, your powers from a power manipulator, etc..).
The cloak can slowly learn how to hide anything on its own, but it is much easier for it to learn how to hide things from active threats.
The more the cloak tries to learn / adapt to at the same time, the slower it is.
There is no limit to what the cloak can learn to hide and how good it can become at it, but the only thing it will ever be able to do is hide, you will never be able to use the cloak as a defensive or offensive ability.
