Essence of theAvatar

By drinking this Essence, you become permanently linked with either Raava the spirit of Light and Peace or Vaatu the spirit of Darkness and Chaos.

• Neither Raava nor Vaatu will be able to betray you and you are guaranteed to at least get along with them to a decent extent.

• No matter which spirit you choose, you gain the ability to bend the elements, at first you start of with only basic understanding in 3 of the basic elements and if you choose so, mastery in the fourth, if you choose not to have mastery in the fourth then you will have a basic understanding of it instead. The basic elements are Water, Earth, Fire and Air. You will learn bending much faster than others both due to your past lives as well as simply having a knack for it.

• You become a master in coming up with new and creative ways to use your bending and even entirely new forms of bending.

• You may in time learn how to bend sub-elements such as Lightning, Lava, Metal etc. Bendings like Blood can be used at any time instead of only during a full moon, though it will be stronger during such a time.

• Optionally, you may choose to be a master in any of the sub-elements of your chosen bending mastery.

• Regardless of which spirit you host you become a master at energy bending, allowing you to bestow and take away a persons bending. This can also be used to heal.

• You can teach Non-benders how to bend, though they will be limited to one of the four basic elements, which element they gain access to will be whichever one they would have had if they were born with it.

• Your bending and Avatar state can never be negatively affected, only positively affected, meaning things like the eclipses will not affect your bending but things like Sozin's comets will, more so you may never lose your ability to bend or activate the avatar state and unlike normal Avatars, if you die in the Avatar state, the connection will not be broken or anything and you will still continue your cycle.

• You gain access to the Avatar State, the ability to call upon the experience and knowledge of your predecessors while also gaining full control over your spirits power. If you choose Raava, you will simply be the next avatar after Korra. If you choose Vaatu, you will have a choice, either you can have it so you gain a set of reincarnations equal to Raava (up to Korra) or you can choose to have the reincarnations of Raava’s line only if they were bound to Vaatu instead, if you choose this option you will however not receive Aang instead gaining an air bender who would have been Vaatu’s next host in that circumstance. If you choose to have the previous avatars of Raava as your predecessors then they will be as close to their canon selves as possible only slightly darker.

• Unlike other avatars, you are able to communicate with your past selves, without needing the avatar state, allowing them to better teach you what they have learned. You may also enter into a dream state where you can meet and interact with your past selves. This also allows you to speak to Raava or Vaatu. You may block any and all of your past selves out if you no longer wish to hear them, while you can also do this to Raava and Vaatu it will be slightly harder. Your past lives will never try and betray you and while you are not guaranteed to get along with them you are at least guaranteed a good chance at it, they will also put aside their differences with you in difficult times so as to not let them get in the way.

• You may also choose to relive specific memories of your past lives so to better understand something. You can use this to learn how to bend by being taught by their masters. To do this however, you will need your past self to focus on the memory you want/need.

• If you choose to host Raava, you will gain the Ability to sense emotions, purify spirits and other living beings and gain the special bending specific to Raava, Light Bending.

• If you choose to host Raava, you gain the ability to travel by light, breaking your body down into light before traveling to a location at the speed of light.

• If you choose to host Vaatu, you will gain the ability to Sense emotions, corrupt spirits and other living beings and gain the special bending specific to Vaatu, Darkness/Shadow bending.

• If you choose to host Vaatu, you gain the ability to Shadow Travel, allowing you to sink into a shadow before reappearing in another shadow somewhere else.

• Optionally, you may instead choose to host both Vaatu and Raava, both Vaatu and Raava will be in perfect harmony, sure they may bicker but their bickering will never cause problems.

• You receive both the incarnations of Raava's Avatar line and a line of incarnations equal in power, skill, experience, wisdom and strength. Your incarnations are guaranteed to if not get along, then at least tolerate each other.

• Due to hosting both spirits and them being in perfect harmony, your powers are increased a hundredfold and they will only grow stronger with time.

• You gain access to all special abilities of both Vaatu and Raava.

• When you use the Avatar state, you may choose which spirit your using OR you may use both, accessing all lives on both sides and gaining a boost that far eclipses both combined.

• When you die, if you were bound to Raava, your spirit will peacefully reincarnate and then aid your reincarnation as much as possible, they will gain not only the benefits of this Essence but any other you took. If however you were bound to Vaatu, you may instead choose to reincarnate and take over your new body devouring their being. If for some reason you are somewhere where your soul can't find a viable host you will instead be reincarnated in another world, you may also decide to be reincarnated in another world, you may also decide to reincarnate into a different world when you die instead of your current one.

• If you are host to both spirits, you may choose which reincarnation method you use. If you ever choose Raava's method, you can at anytime in your many incarnations take back control with Vaatu's.
