Essence ofInspiration

You see a bottle shaped like a light bulb, where the clear liquid it contains instantly glows brightly while you look at it. You know better than to drink liquids of dubious origins, but you suddenly feel inspired to drink it. When you do, you are gain the following:

• Aha Moments: There are times in one's life, though rare, when something suddenly comes to them. It may be an idea to pitch to a boss, client, or investor. It may be when the person (or a group of people) has been stuck on a particular problem for a length of time. It may be when an uncomfortable situation arises and there seems no way to end it. These tend to be few and far between. You now have them more frequently to the point that they become intuitively part of your daily life. If you have a project to present to your boss, and you'll get an idea on how to set it up and present it to maximum effect. If you are asking out a potential love interest, you'll know exactly what to say to pique their interest at that moment. If you're in a hairy situation, you'll have an ingenious idea of how to resolve it. When all evidence points towards an obvious solution, you'll suddenly see what's been hidden to allow you to arrive at the correct solution.

• Thinking Outside The Box: Your life is governed by rules and laws, be those imposed by reality, deities, or man. 'One plus one always equals two', after all. But for you, you can now see times where 'one plus one can equal three, or even four'. People who have been able to 'think outside the box' in the past have tended to move society forward. An apple falling brings forth the idea of gravity. Ship sails disappearing on the horizon meant that the world wasn't flat. When you are working on a problem, with a small amount of thought, you will now come up with solutions that seem to come from 'outside the box', whether that means that you'll look at an engineering problem from the point of a programmer or farmer, a magical problem from the point musician, and so forth.

• Inspiration: People can find inspiration in the simplest of things, and you can now easily find it when you look for it. Staring into the night sky can inspire you to develop FTL engines. Listening to the sounds of rain falling can inspire you to write a literary masterpiece. Watching a leaf fall can inspire you create a cure for cancer. Inspiration can come from anything, and lead to anything. While you cannot directly control what inspires you or how it inspires you, you will find that inspiration comes to you very easily, and often in regards to what you want or need.
