Essence of thePantheon System

You are a Godling, a fledgling god who has just awakened your divinity. You start out with peak human physical capabilities and an eternal lifespan.

To help you grow that divine spark of limitless potential within you, you have been given a gift that will not only guide your growth, but also accelerate it.

This is a System where you are able to develop the powers and abilities of any divine being or beings associated with them. This includes all the major and minor gods, monsters, giants, creatures, primordials and etc, as well as any variation of them. This will eventually, given enough time and effort, make you the most powerful Divine being to ever exist. It will also be able to give you access to items, creatures and other stuff connected to the Divine (Dryads, Weapons, Apples of immortality, Cornucopia, etc).

You may optionally choose to limit yourself to a single Pantheon, where you will find yourself growing faster in power and skill. The smaller the Pantheon, the faster you grow, at the cost of limiting your potential.

You may optionally pick and choose the members of your selected Pantheon, but you will then be limited to only 12 Divinities.

You may instead choose only one God/Goddess/Titan/etc, in which you will grow even faster, but at the cost of limiting yourself to the powers and abilities of a single Divine being.

You may also start developing your own powers and abilities as you grow.

The way you grow your powers and abilities depends on you. You can cultivate or train directly, you can start gathering followers and believers, study the divines you have chosen, use your abilities and power, conquer the world, etc. It all depends on what kind of god you want to become, as well as what mortal you once where and what you want to do.

You may select a Symbol of Power, either one of any known Divine being, or you may create your own. This Symbol of Power will grow alongside you in power, and will help you both focus your divine power and abilities, but will also amplify them. If you choose a Symbol of Power from any known Divine being, you will gain access to the abilities of that Symbol of Power, even if you don’t have developed the abilities of the original owner.

You may create your own Pantheon, where you are the Chief God/Goddess. You are free to select any Divine or associated being as members of your Pantheon, though their powers will scale with yours until they reach their peak. You are free to design and change your selected members, as well as their relationship with you, in whatever way you want. Make your Pantheon your own Harem filled with irrevocably loyal and loving goddesses if that’s what you want, genderbend Zeus for all I care, just know that once you have made your changes and finished your selection, that’s it. It’s a one time thing you can do at the moment you ingest this Essence. You are limited to 12 members at the current moment, and you may leave some slots or even all of them open, which you can fill in later by ascending mortals, summoning gods or some other way.

Optionally, you may at any time choose to take a one way trip into any Universe you want, or a variation of it. This can be any alternate universe, like a fanfic or a universe made perfectly for yourself. You can either simply be dropped in, self insert or be reincarnated into the body of an existing character or someone new of you own design.
