Essence of theODST (Halo)

By drinking this Essence of adrenaline and alien blood, you join the ranks of mankind's best soldiers, whose courage, skill, and borderline insanity have earned them fear and respect: the ODSTs.

• Your body is brought to peak health and ability for humans in all aspects, and will be extremely resistant if not immune to any conditions that would negatively affect it. As a side effect, you will have a longer lifespan and maintain your prime for much longer than most would expect.

• As a side benefit, you possess enhanced healing. It isn't enough to be combat applicable, but you can perfectly heal from anything that doesn't outright kill you given enough time.

• As an ODST, you practically embody the term "Badass Normal". You aren't augmented in any truly significant way, but you are more than capable of keeping up with your enhanced fellows in all regards. Combat prowess, skill, intelligence, you've got it all, without any of the downsides or side-effects that might come to have such things artificially.

• ODSTs have a reputation for being incredibly good and yet incredibly crazy: after all, what else would you call someone who volunteers to be dropped into battle via orbital entry? However, you are no such thing. You are completely and totally mentally sound at all times, whether you're in the heat of battle or faced against monstrosities at all times. Combined with your immense willpower, no amount of pain, torment, or suffering can ever affect you for long, let alone actually stop you.

• As a side-benefit of this, you are completely immune to infection/manipulation by the Flood or other entities/forces like it.

• As the prime example of what the UNSC military has to offer, you have decades-worth of experience with all manner of vehicles, weapons, combat scenarios, stealth operations, sabotage, command, space combat, and far more.

• As an ODST, you have access to a variety of tools and equipment to help you on your missions:

• Your ODST armor is a state of the art protective wear made of titanium and Kevlar, meant only for the best of troops. In terms of effectiveness, it is second only to MJOLNIR (fitting since several of MJOLNIR's systems and development were applied to ODST gear), providing excellent protection against explosions and small to medium arms, protection against temperature extremes and vacuum (for brief periods), reduced detection from enemies, and some resistance against plasma and other energy based weaponry. Your helmet has various functions (such as polarizing the visor to prevent identification and protect from excess light), including a Heads-Up Display and a VISR mode (which allows to link up to other systems to collect and analyze data). Of course, all of this is but a brief (non-comprehensive) overview of what your armor is capable of.

• An additional part of your armor is your armored rucksack, allowing you to carry extra supplies into battle while offering protection and the ability to magnetically attach extra weapons. For some strange reason, your rucksack allows you to carry all the ammunition, survival gear, and other supplies you need, with no extra weight or consequence to your mobility. Should you remove supplies, you will find them replenished as soon as you open your rucksack again.

• Your gear is extremely easy to upgrade and repair, and will "remember" any beneficial upgrades to it. Should you lose your armor or have it be destroyed, you can summon a fresh copy to you at any point.

• What ODST would you be if you weren't able to be dropped feet first into battle? You possess your very own drop pod, an insertion vehicle meant to carry you and your equipment down to the ground and into the fight. Unlike other drop pods, this one is guaranteed to bring you down safely. Moreover, any drop pods or other insertion vehicles you use will gain the same benefit.

• You can summon to you any portable weapons, tools, vehicles, and other equipment from the Halo universe, not just from the UNSC.

• You can speak, write, and understand any languages and cultures from Halo, even those you should not be biologically able to.

• As a member of the humanity (deemed by the Forerunners as the Reclaimers), you have significant skill, intuition, and authority when it comes to using Forerunner technologies. In your case, though, this extends to all "alien" technologies.

• Like a certain SPARTAN, you have exceptional good fortune, allowing you to survive and thrive despite all logic saying you should fail catastrophically. This luck can manifest as finding weapons or other tools, being center for important events (or avoiding them, should you wish), as well as a variety of other expressions.

• You have exceptional competence and good luck when it comes to dealing with various espionage services like ONI. It doesn't matter what methods they rely on or plans they use, you can run rings around them and turn their schemes to your favor without much issue.

• You have a Smart AI companion, comparable to Cortana in terms of ability and loyalty. Unlike most Smart AIs, your companion is completely metastable and cannot be hacked or go rampant (as a side benefit, they are also capable of safely growing and developing with theoretically no limit). You can determine the personality, appearance, and other details of this AI.

• You possess a data storage unit containing the complete and unredacted information, knowledge, science, and other data from the Halo universe. This database is extremely intuitive and easy to use, will update based on the setting(s) you find yourself in, and possesses the ability to combine its data to produce new developments and more effective designs. Moreover, nothing in this database can harm you, not even memetic information. Should you lose it or have it be destroyed, you can summon a fresh copy to you at any time.
