By drinking this vial wrapped in cracked chains, you have been restrained in the hopes of greater power.

• Any number (potentially all) of your Essences and powers have been “nerfed”. In other words, they have been weakened. Maybe their effects have been limited, maybe some of their benefits have been outright removed, but whatever the case is, they aren’t as powerful or robust as they might have originally been. The exact nature of the nerfing is up to you (Fanwank responsibly).

• The benefit for this is that this restriction will, over time, increase and develop your Essences and powers further than what they were before. The longer the nerfing is in place, the more dramatic the enhancement when said nerfing is removed. A simple boost to your survivability might turn into borderline immortality. An effect granting you the strength of ten men might turn into the strength of a thousand. Whatever the case, your powers and Essence will be stronger, more versatile, and unequivocally better than they were before.

• The exact length this nerfing is in place is up to you, as well as any criteria or requirements you might have to meet to fully remove it. Both could also be left to chance, should you wish.

• Any other Essence-boosting effects (such as from Essence of the Blank) will still be active despite the nerfing, and will in fact boost the enhancements brought upon by the nerfing’s removal.
