AI summary

Frames training as mobile-game minigames: you enter an area to train a power or talent, the training becomes a level no longer than two minutes, and completing it earns temporary upgrades — or you can skip the level by watching a 30-second advert and take the upgrade directly, with the caveat that adverts are sourced from the general multiverse and may show you things you would rather not see. You can also travel into the world of mobile advertisements and back, carrying things either way. Optional modules parody specific ad genres: Best No Wifi Games lets you download offline, ad-free versions of applications; Blacksmithing spends cash to generate ores that forge weapons and merge into higher-rank ores; a Generic Gacha rolls for companions; The Good Doctor makes you an excellent physician who can switch off disgust entirely; Idle Tycoon hands you a small business on any theme that grows enormous; Marble Game grants an extra stream of consciousness while sustaining abilities; Marching Onward drops you into a private time-stopped minigame of gates before a fight; and Merge lets you combine multiples of anything into a single stronger version, whether marbles or skeletons.

Description

Access to this Essence is locked behind a 30 second ad. Afterwards, it can be consumed, but it forces itself down your throat before you can get a taste of it. On consuming this Essence…

Effects

17
  • You may go into an area to train a power or talent. This will be simplified into a small mini game, and levels in it are never longer than two minutes. While completing these levels, you obtain temporary power ups, and fake cash which can be used to upgrade the ability. The whole system on how this works is very much like a time wasting mobile game. This effect can upgrade this essence's own powers, other essence's powers, or even powers you don't have. Though keep in mind that the better it is, the longer it takes for any real results.

  • Instead of playing the mini game, you can watch a 30 second ad, and gain the upgrade directly. Though be aware that it sources from the general multiverse, you may see some things you don't want to.

  • You may travel into the world of mobile ads, and back as you wish, as well as taking things to and fro.

  • All of the following is optional.

  • Best No Wifi Games: Despite what it says on the tin, it does require Wifi, at least initially. You may download versions of apps with no online requirement, or any intrusive systems such as automatic ads. The game is not built off any monetization, just built as if it was... Well, a game.

  • Blacksmithing: You are able to spend cash to generate ores which can be used to easily make a sword, or other weapon such as a gun. Two of these ores can also be merged to make an ore which is a rank stronger, which itself may be merged with an ore of the same rank, and so on. While a sword made of Rank 1 materials may be equivalent to the average sword, a sword made of Rank 3 materials may be able to cut through a strong chestplate with ease, and it simply gets exponentially stronger from there.

  • Generic Gacha Game: Congratulations! You have unlocked a Gacha! What of? Well, I'm not entirely sure, but look at all these women (and sometimes men)! Yes, your Gacha is that sort, trying to make any heads other than your main one cry in glee and try to open the thing. As for the rates... 75% for a 1 star, 15% for a 2 star, 7% for a 3 star, 2.9% for a 4 star, and 0.1% for a 5 star. What does that mean for you? What do dupes do? Not sure, though it probably isn't quite favorable. While you do get some free pulls, you're likely going to need to pull out your wallet, and for some reason, every time you get lucky, rates just seem to get worse and the Gacha more expensive... At least the few good gains somewhat scale with you?

  • The Good Doctor: You are an excellent doctor, and are able to completely disable your disgust. While you may question why the second part is needed, you will know soon. Your general competency in all medical roles should be able to get you easily within any position, even despite things such as "not having a degree", though you have a fake one you can flaunt around if you wish.

  • Idle Tycoon: Choose anything, from eggs, to honey, or maybe even something more fantastical. You get your hands on a small business themed around that thing... And it'll be big, let me tell you. If it grows large enough, the whole world will want your cookies- I mean, products, and it is certainly able to expand far beyond that. All it takes is checking in every once and awhile to reinvest, and let the profits roll in... Though, it'll slow down eventually. So, you can force the company through a rebirth, which will reset it and make people forget about the old company, but makes it grow even faster. Just keep an eye on it.

  • Marble Game: While you are using an ability for an extended period of time, or a mix of abilities, you temporarily gain an extra stream of consciousness. In this stream, you can entirely focus on dropping marbles, which will start to fall into holes with multipliers and effects, before going back to the top to fall down again. There are also two holes that, when a marble falls into, it's current value is reset and an effect is given. The first whole gives a general boost to the ability for a long period of time, potentially able to last hours if the marbles goes your way. The other one is a large, big boost that may be fired out at any time to enhance an attempted use of an ability, which can potentially be many times stronger than what you can usually pull off.

  • Marching Onward: As you approach a fight, you may enter into a minigame. This minigame will only be perceived by you, and time will stop as you are playing it. In it, you are running through various gates that will either improve your abilities, or make them worse. This change to your abilities only stays for the rest of the upcoming fight, and a few minutes after.

  • Merge: When you have two or more of something, you may merge them together. For example, 8 marbles in a minigame may merge into one better at collecting cash, or 40 Skeletons may merge into a larger one the size of a small house. This merge will always be better than it's parts when it comes to the task it was merged for, though an improvement in other fields is not a guarantee, though it will at the very least not be a downgrade.

  • Odd Girls: Every once and awhile, you may find a creepy (yet still likely at least somewhat conventionally attractive) girl around your age range. You will be presented with two options, one likely to make you a friend, and one likely to kill you, though you are free to ignore the options or the situation altogether.

  • Rapping Hero: Should you enter any conflict, you may instead enter a music battle where you sing against an opponent. Winning and losing grants the same consequences as if you had originally won or lost the conflict. Along with this, you gain better control over your voice, good feel of rhythm, improved hand eye coordination, and faster reaction times.

  • Sandbox: You obtain a box containing a variety of elements. It is self contained, with nothing able to get in or out, with the exception of you and anything on you when you enter. It can grow from a millimeter tall, to a 160 km in all directions, though the internal size of the container is always the latter. You may choose to place these elements down in the container, and see how they interact, such as fire with gunpowder, or termites with uranium. While this is neat in of itself, it is also able to scan items and living beings to add to it's catalog, allowing you to somewhat simulate scenarios which may be somewhat useful in the future.

  • Sponsorship: Not every mobile ad just shows up in a short segment interrupting your video or gameplay. Sometimes, it's shoved directly into the video, with a call of "This video is sponsored by...", or the ad is a celebrity being shoved into the game. If a game has had one of these, you may make it an unofficial sponsor of you, granting you related powers while embedding itself into the essence. You start with a limit of one and have to make it grow, however.

  • Weapon Collection Hole: Once a day, you may activate this ability. When used, you may control a hole in a white plain and collect weapons for around 30 seconds. These weapons vary in size from a bullet to something the size of a plane, and collecting them will cause the hole to grow bigger in size until time runs out. You can then unleash these weapons on foes, with their strength corresponding to the size of the weapon, even if realistically the throwing star should be weaker than a bullet. Finally, should you wish, you may unleash all remaining weapons in a large burst, striking at all foes around. This will activate automatically if you are majorly threatened in any way, unless you disable it.
